MOVIE SYNOPSIS
Meet The Blips, Hieronymous Blipford and BeBe Blipstein, an otherworldly, over-the-top Rock music act. The Blips love technology and they use computers in their shows.
Hieronymous, producer extraordinaire, plays guitar, sometimes with violin bows and other objects. BeBe, visual designer, does most of the singing and plays guitar sometimes. They both play their signature instrument, the Seven-Octave Theremin.
Enter Professor Bummerhummer, a fun-hating scientist who despises The Blips because of their intrinsic exuberance, among other reasons.
He's been working furiously for years with his reluctant assistant Quarkie Quiver to create a device that will stop The Blips' unique live shows by scrambling their Theremin frequencies.
To further his appetite for destruction, the Professor replaces Quarkie with a mechanical monster, the quirky and annoying Quark-Bot.
Meanwhile, as their manager Richie Grant books The Blips' first U.S. tour, someone steals BeBe's one-of-a-kind jeweled performance coat after the Keeper of The Coat is fired, just before their debut at Pennington Park and Fun-O-Rama.
Nearly everyone is suspect in the crime, including the roadie who is muddling romances with two of The Blips’ new female employees.
Will the Professor's device put a final, super-fuddled end to The Blips' live performances? Will BeBe's Empress Coat be reclaimed and the thief apprehended before they take the stage?
The Blips' entire entourage become deeply entangled in the saga with their own zany relationship antics and personal ambitions to weave together an out-of-this-world adventure with The Blips!
